MONTICELLO NY, Summer, 2004 - A long-awaited casino gambling venue has hit Sullivan County, New York's famed Monticello Raceway. The new Catskills gambling facility located at Monticello Raceway is run by Mighty M Gaming, who is opening the racino with 1,800 slot-like video lottery terminals.

The new Racino (Racetrack and Casino) is poised to draw large tourism crowds to the local Catskills hotels, resorts, and inns with an expected 12,000 Racino visitors on weekend days and 7,000 visitors on weekdays. Catskills gambling and the Racino's slot machines are run by the New York State Lottery. The new casino gambling facility will operate in the existing Raceway Grandstand. The Racino, which underwent a $24 million renovation prior to its opening, is primed to change the face of tourism and casino gambling in the Catskill and Monticello region.
